Helen J. Sienczyk

Of Arlington, formerly of Chelsea, She passed away on June 15th at the Lexington Health Care Center where she has been receiving supportive care for the past several weeks.  She was 94 years of age.  Born and raised in Chelsea she was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Lewszyk) Orluk.  She first attended St. Stanislaus parochial School and late graduated from Chelsea High School.  She was married to John L Sienczyk and resided in Chelsea for many years before settling in Arlington 52 years ago.  Helen worked outside of her home commuting by public transportation to Hysil Manufacturing in Revere.  She worked as a quality control supervisor and retired when the plant ceased their manufacturing operation.  Helen was preceded in death by her husband in 1986.  She was active with the Arlington Senior citizens group and attended daily Mass at St. Camillus Church in Arlington; she was also a lifelong parishioner and supportive member of St. Stanislaus Church in Chelsea and received comfort watching Boston Catholic Television.    

Her Funeral will be held from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Monday June 25th, at 9:30 A.M.  Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church 163 Chestnut St. Chelsea at 11:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.  Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. only. Funeral Home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite Funeral Home.

She was the beloved wife of the late John L. Sienczyk.  Devoted mother and mother in law of Janet J. Fitzgerald of Sudbury and her late husband James R. Fitzgerald Jr.    Dear sister of the late Josephine L. Jakubowicz, Mary F. Doherty, Winifred J. Santo, Sabina A. Daniszewski, Joseph “Huskie”, Stanley and Frank “Jackie” Orluk.  She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.


In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Boston Catholic Television, 34 Chestnut St., PO Box 9196, Watertown MA 02471.
