Henry Murawski

Retired Gourmet Chef, he passed away Wednesday Evening April 18th at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home where he has been receiving supportive care for the past several years.  He was 78 years of age.  Born and raised in Kamionce Poland, he was the son of the late Franciszek and Rozalia (Schroder) Murawski.  He received his early education in Poland and was a professionally trained Chef.  He brought his family to this country in the early 60’s and settled in Chelsea in 1965. He began working at the Boston Sheraton Hotel as an Executive Gourmet Chef; he subsequently worked in the Parker House, the Chilton Club and the Meridian Hotel in Boston.  He was medically disabled since 1986 and has been confined to a wheel chair since that time.

His Funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Wednesday April 25th, at 8:00 A.M.  Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church 163 Chestnut St. Chelsea at 9:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.  Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 - 8 P.M.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Lorynska) Murawski.  Devoted father of Thaddeus Murawski and his wife Lila of Wrentham, Maria Zbawiony of Manchester NH, Waldemar Murawski and his wife Joann of  Topsfield,  Eva Carson of NH, Elizabeth Murawski of Seabrook NH and Sophia Murawski of Chelsea.  Dear brother of Alfons Murawski of Lynn, Jadwiga Paluchowska, Kristina Gudel and Jan Murawski all of Poland.  He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
